In this programme, students will put on their detective cap and solve a kidnapping case designed to build their observational and analytical abilities. In this 8 hour course, students will investigate the identity of the kidnapper using fundamental DNA techniques, detect microbial signatures of suspects, tease out hidden trace evidence (latent fingerprints and footprints) at the crime scene, analyse forged documents and decode cryptic codes, as well as examine suspicious solutions with chemistry techniques.
